Our Class Story
When we first came to the campus of Elon University in the Fall of 2018, we had absolutely no idea what we be in store for us during our 4 years. Between some of the best theatrical education available, to our class bonding experiences, to being completely derailed our Sophomore year due to Covid, we have been through a lot, but we got through it together. We have been constantly told about the importance of having an ensemble in a theatre, or any work place for that matter, and we hope that cohort-mentality is reflected in our work and character.
During our time in the Elon BFA Acting program, we have been lucky enough to receive substantial training in Stanislavski and Chekov acting techniques, however what we excel at most is Applied Meisner Technique and all of the wonderful specificities it brings to our acting. To add to this, we have extensive training in Commedia del Arte and Clowning, Stage Combat, Fitzmaurice Voicework, and so much Dialect training we could each probably walk you through a masterclass in IPA. This isn't all of our training we have received in our 4 years, but just some of the techniques and schools of acting we feel incredibly comfortable and confident in.
Through all the turmoil that these interesting times have brought on, we as a class have overcome it, and are collectively stronger because of it. Our individual strengths are fantastic, but as a unit, we thrive, and that is what we are proudest of accomplishing during our 4 years attending Elon. Thank you for reading just a brief summary of our time at Elon, and we hope you spend some time checking out the rest of our website and social media accounts.
